NewZelander actress Stefania LaVie Owen recently came to fame for her appearance in the Netflix TV series, Messiah as Rebecca Iguero. Her young age, looks, and talent make her a force to be reckoned with in the Hollywood industry.

Though she doesn’t use them, she feels that such platforms could be of great impact, both positively and negatively. Owen’s still not using social media but, she says she might be back on it soon.
4. She Chose Acting Because…
The 22 years old Stefania LaVie Owen didn’t choose acting, acting chose her. Can we call this destiny or something?
The actress got into acting after she and her older sister signed up for the commercials in Wellington, New Zealand. At first, it was just commercials, but then, her older sister received a chance to appear in Bridge to Terabithia and she auditioned for The Lovely Bones, which was her debut film.
It never felt like, “Ooh, I’m an actor!” It just felt like it was this fun thing that was happening, it all just happened naturally.
Another reason why she got into acting can also be termed as her love for traveling. For movies, she could travel to different locations, and when the adrenaline hit, she just loved it.
3. Would Love to Work Alongside Wes Anderson
The Miami-born actress has worked with the likes of Michael Petroni, Alexandra Cunningham, Amy Harris, and so many other show creators. But, she has a filmmaker, she still wants to work with. Wes Anderson!
Owen says she’s inspired by him. She loves all of his films, The Darjeeling Limited, Rushmore, and all the 17 movies he’s been a part of.
Besides Wes, she also wants to work with Saoirse Ronan again. They worked together on The Lovely Bones.

Don’t let acting define you. Always have it as something you’re passionate about, something you’re good at, something you’re excited about, but never let it define you.
Her sister advised her to be who she is forever. People love you for who you are.
