Meet the American restaurateur, Sherry Yard who’s adorned with two cookbooks and has had appearances as a judge in several TV food competitions.
Yard has been able to garner a number of awards for her cooking while also having sharpened her skills as the former vice president of the culinary department of iPic Entertainment.

5. Joined Culinary School Thrice
After the completion of her graduation from the New York Technical Institute (New York College of Technology), she joined culinary school but had to drop out due to some personal issues.

Later on, she again joined and completed her course in cooking. Soon after that, she was given a scholarship to study in the UK where she gained knowledge in baking as well.
4. Participant in a Cooking Show
The Pastry Chef Sherry Yard rose to fame after she participated in the Food Network show, Cutthroat Kitchen. She was a part of the show during the Cutthroat Kitchen: Superstar Sabotage season in November 2015.
The contestants of the show competed for a prize of $75 thousand. For the initial stake, the participants received $50,000 while the eliminated chefs received $2500. Though Sherry won the Heat 4 (Episode 4) of Superstar Sabotage, she was eliminated after a bout with Richard Blais and Fabio Viviani. Fabio won the competition and earned a total of $42 thousand.
3. Collected $3 Million Net Worth
The three-time James Beard Award-winner, Sherry Yard has collected a net worth of $3 million from her cooking as well as her writing career. Not only that, she made her earnings from her restaurant business as well.

Her cookbook The Secrets of Baking: Simple Techniques for Sophisticated Desserts costs $5.63 for its hardcover edition on Amazon. Similarly, her book, Desserts by the Yard: From Brooklyn to Beverly Hills – Recipes from the Sweetest Life Ever costs $4.98 for its hardcover edition.
At the start of her career, she was a chef at the Wolfgang Puck restaurants. Besides, she’s also worked as the COO of the Restaurant Divison at iPic Entertainment. So, her having a $3 million net worth is more than believable!
2. Loses 10 lbs Before Shooting Her Cooking Show and Gains 15 lbs Afterwards
The 5 feet 2 inches tall pastry chef Sherry Yard revealed that she loses 10 lbs of weight before the start of her show, The Great American Baking Show Holiday Edition and gain 15 lbs by the end of the show.
I lose about 10 pounds first because I’m gonna gain about 15 pounds. That’s the first preparation.
Sherry Yard to Meghan Cooper of JaMonkey
While still talking to JaMonkey, she joked that there should be a game show about her weight where participants guess the amount of her weight gain. If we have to guess, she always goes away with extra pounds, which comes around 20 lbs by the end of the show. Why? Well, she just loves eating, that’s why!

1. Married to Dentist Edward M. Ines
The 56 years old Sherry Yard is a married woman. She walked down the aisle with her longtime partner Edward M. Ines who is a dentist by profession.
The couple shared the wedding vows on May 3, 2008, at a destination wedding in Malibu, California, which was hosted by Sherry’s employer, Wolfgang Puck. Since then the pair started living together in Manhattan Beach, California.

Currently, her husband is working as a dentist in his own private clinic located at Beverly Hills, California while she is working as a pastry chef. Keeping thier professional life aside, they live happily in thier California home along with thier two dogs, Hank and Willow.
The duo is still very much busy with their career that they have kept the thought of having kids away from their minds. Or is it that they already have children but are hiding it from the prying eyes of the public? Well, who knows, let’s just hope they remain together for life!
