Lydia Paxton is the second child of late American actor, Bill Paxton with his second wife, Louise Newbury.
Lydia was born on December 19, 1997. She has an elder brother named James Paxton. She completed her schooling at The Thacher School in 2016. Later, she joined Duke University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Media Studies, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship in 2020.
Daughter of Bill Paxton
Lydia Paxton is the only daughter of Bill Paxton. Her father was an American actor and movie maker who was active in the industry from 1975 to 2017.
He has a total of 99 acting credits in his name and some of his famous movies include Twister, Tombstone, Near Dark, Aliens, Weird Science, Apollo 13, A simple Plan, and Twister.
Lost Her Father in 2017
Lydia Paxton’s father died at the age of 61 on February 25, 2017, in Los Angeles, California. He died from a stroke.
Well, the incident happened just 11 days after surgery to replace a heart valve and repair aorta damage. In 2018, Paxton’s family filed a lawsuit against Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The lawsuit claimed the surgeon lacked experience and that he performed an unnecessary “high risk and unconventional surgical approach.” Bill’s family later reached a $1 million settlement with an anesthesiologist medical group.
Parents’ Relationship
Bill Paxton and Louise Newbury shared their vows on May 12, 1987, after a few years of dating. While talking on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Bill said that he met his wife on Twickenham High Street.
I met my wife on the number 37 bus on the Twickenham High Street, in London. “I saw a gal in a bus queue… She looks my way as she gets on the bus, and that was all the incentive I needed.
Previously, her father was married to Kelly Rowan from 1979 to 1980.

Lydia Paxton’s elder brother, James Paxton was born on February 23, 1994, in Ojai, California, the U.S. He started his career as an actor when he was around 11 years.

In 2003, she appeared in the American spy action comedy movie named Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over as ‘Dinky’ Winks Jr. He also portrayed John Garrett’s younger version in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Some of his other notable works include Boogeyman Pop, Low Tide, The Fanatic, Teenage Badass, Texas Rising, Eyewitness, Training Day, and Mr. Mom.
Her Career
Lydia Paxton is currently working as a Programming Department Intern at Tribeca Festival. Prior she worked in Private Division as a Public Relations Intern.
Her career started in June 2014 as a Costume Department Intern for The History Channel. She then took a break for four years before joining Urban Village Chocolates Ltd as a Customer Service Representative.
In June 2019, Lydia worked for Games for Change as a Programs & Operations Intern. After completing her internship there, she started working at The Standard as a PR Director.
