Layla Kiffin is known for being the ex-wife of the head football coach of the University of Mississippi, Lane Kiffin. She is also famous for being the daughter of the former professional football player, John Reaves.

Layla and Lane’s Married Life

Layla Kiffin walked down the aisle with her husband, Lane Monte Kiffin on July 1, 2004. The duo met for the first time in 1999 through Lane’s father, Monte Kiffin, who was working as an NFL defensive coordinator at the time.

The duo started dating and three months later, they got engaged. Lane even asked for her dad’s permission before asking her to marry him.

Well, they were indeed serious about their relationship and three years later, in 2004, they got married.

Their Divorce

Layla and Lane were married for more than a decade. Unfortunately, they couldn’t continue their relationship and went separate ways in 2016. The reason for their divorce seems to be Lane’s extramarital affairs.

Around August 2015, Kiffin had rumors of having an extramarital affair with the University of Alabama’s head coach, Nick Saban’s daughter, Kristen Saban.

Some while after the rise of this rumor, Layla filed for divorce on February 28, 2016, citing irreconcilable differences, and separated soon after.

After a lot of careful thought and consideration, Layla and I have mutually decided to divorce. We are fully committed to our kids’ future being our No. 1 priority. We will maintain an amicable relationship with respect for each other as we raise these three wonderful children. We will have no further comments and appreciate respect for our family’s privacy.

As for their divorce settlement, Layla received $250 thousand. She also receives around 34.5% of Lane’s earnings. After receiving the alimony, Layla is believed to have rented a Manhattan beach house worth $10 thousand each month.
