Johnny Lopez is the youngest child among five kids of Mexican-American singer, Jenni Rivera. He is also known for appearing in the family reality show named I Love Jenni and the spin-off series, The Riveras.
Johnny Lopez was born on February 5, 2001, to Jenni and her second husband, Juan Lopez. He has one biological sister, Jenicka Lopez, and three half-siblings: Chiquis, Jacquie Campos, and Michael Marin Rivera from her mother’s marriage with José Trinidad Marín.

Johnny Lopez came out as gay in late 2017. He shared about his sexuality through one of his Instagram videos which has been deleted as of now.
I am in a gay relationship right now and I am in love with this person. I’ve been dealing with this part of myself for a long time now.
After revealing his gay relationship, he went on to reveal that he’s bisexual.
And for so long I wanted to be completely straight or completely gay because I honestly didn’t know where I am. I’m bisexual.
After his sexual revelation, he started getting nasty online backlash but all of his sisters stood by him. His half-sister, Chiquis Rivera supported her brother on his decision. While talking with Univision’s El Gordo y La Flace, she claimed she supports her brother 100 percent.

Who is He Dating?
The 20-year-old Johnny Lopez doesn’t seem to be involved in a dating relationship as of now. Previously, he dated Joaquin Navarro for around two years from 2017 to 2019. On March 5, 2019, he took to his Instagram to open up about his breakup.
I’m only going to answer this once, just because I keep getting asked. I don’t think I’m ready to be in a relationship right now; I’ve come to realize that. I have a lot of s**t I need to work out. But I love him with all my heart, and I always want him in my life. He’s one of my best friends, so yeah.
In the same story, Lopez also claimed that he wouldn’t date another man after Navarro though he doesn’t have a particular reason.
I’m bi. I mean, I made it pretty clear when I announced my relationship in 2017. I probably wouldn’t date another guy again. I don’t see that happening. I don’t think I have a particular reason. It’s just like I don’t see it happening. I don’t necessarily want it. I knew that going into my first relationship, like, this is going to be the only guy I date. I just don’t see it, you know?

His Parents’ Relationship
Johnny Lopez’s parents, Jenni Rivera and Juan Lopez walked down the aisle in 1997 after two years of dating. However, they divorced in 2002 due to infidelity issues.

He lost his father on July 14, 2009, in a Lancaster Hospital at the age of 37 due to complications of pneumonia while in prison. After three years on December 9, 2012, his mother Jenni died in a plane crash near Monterrey, Mexico.
