Married to Eddie

Janie Liszewski was married to singer Eddie Van Halen in 2009 at his Studio City estate.

Eddie proposed to Janie on August 4, 2008, while vacationing in Hawaii. The singer dropped on one knee and proposed to her in their private room at Tiffany’s. After their engagement, Ed gave up drugs and alcohol for good.

They are happy, healthy, very much in love, and looking forward to living life together forever. They are devoted to each other and to experiencing life in a whole new, positive, and passionate way.

There were once rumors of Janie having an affair with a guy named, Louie Martinez. Janie later took to her Instagram to express that their life is PRIVATE but cleared the air saying Eddie is her husband and Louie is her ballroom dance and pro wrestling partner.

Death of Her Husband

Eddie Van Halen died on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, of throat cancer. When the rock and roll legend passed away, his wife and son were by his side.

Eddie’s son, Wolfgang Van Halen, also took to her Instagram to share about his dad’s failed battle with cancer.

I can’t believe I’m having to write this, but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning. He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift. My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss.
I love you so much, Pop.

Following Ed’s death, Janie received his $100 million worth of fortune.

Breast Cancer

Janie Liszewski revealed through her Instagram in 2019 that the doctors had found abnormal nodules in her thyroid and that she was cleared for cancer.

Yesterday I was finally cleared and told they have not grown/changed and are not cancerous.

Two years later, in 2021, she revealed that she had her breast biopsy doubting cancer. Fortunately, her reports came back normal.

Career as Her Husband’s Publicist

Janie Liszewski worked as a PR for the adult film industry. She stopped working there in 2007 and joined her husband’s band, Van Halen, as a publicist.

I am so excited to be given the opportunity to work with such a legendary musical force and look forward to going on the road this summer. Obviously, this is a dream come true in many capacities. I would like to thank everyone for all of their support for so many years.

During the same time, there were rumors of Janie and Eddie’s engagement. However, those rumors were just that!

Besides being a publicist, she’s also a dancer and pro wrestling manager. She goes by her alias, Lita Lamae.

She started dancing on May 25, 2017, and two years later, in 2019, she started working as a pro wrestling manager for Louie Martinez. Janie and Louie first met at a charity event in 2017.

In her 20s, Janie also participated in regional and National level Miss Fitness USA competitions. She was trained by David Caramanis.

Besides all this, Janie also used to work as a stunt woman. She has around 16 stunt credits under her name. She also has five acting credits.
