The Hobbs and Shaw star Idris Elba hits back at the conspiracy theory that claims celebrities are lying about their coronavirus diagnosis.

Idris took to his Instagram profile to share a live video on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, to get back at the conspiracy claims.

The Black Superman believes that all people whether rich or poor should get access to the nCOV tests. He added that shaming people who’ve got the disease or the test is basically counterproductive.

I think that the negativity around ‘test shaming’ is like, counterproductive. I don’t see what people get out of that.

He alongside his wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba slammed the theories that claim they are being paid to lie about the diagnosis. He added that it was stupidness to spread such news.

Such stupidness and people wanna spread that as if it’s news. That’s stupid. That’s the quickest way to get people sick. There’s no benefit to me and Sabrina sitting here saying we’ve got it when we ain’t got it. I don’t even understand the logic of that.

Though Idris hasn’t called anyone out, it seems he’s responding to the Grammy winner, Cardi B, who on her live Instagram video claimed that the celebrities could be pretending to have tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus and getting paid for it instead.

Idris Criticizes Theory about Black People Being Immune to the Virus

This isn’t the first theory he’s slammed! Idris, who revealed on March 17, 2020, that he has tested positive for the virus, also criticized the theory that claimed black people couldn’t get the virus.

Elba took to Periscope on March 18, 2020, to share a live video on his Twitter. He said that the conspiracy theory that believes black people couldn’t get the nCOV is stupid.

That is the quickest way to get more black people killed. And I’m talking about the whole world. Wherever we are, please understand that you can get it.

Elba believes that the disease doesn’t discriminate.

Idris and his wife are both tested positive for the virus and hence, they are currently in self-isolation.

Besides Elba and his spouse, celebrities like Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Andy Cohen, Kristofer Hivju, and Kevin Durant also tested positive for the virus.

On March 24, 2020, Tuesday, Coronavirus complications claimed the life of Terrence McNally, Tony-winning playwright, at 81 years of age.
