Gavy Friedson is the Global Ambassador for United Hatzalah, a Jerusalem-based Israeli medical care organization. He is also the Director of International Emergency Management. However, he got huge limelight after his marriage to Katie Pavlich.
Gavy Friedson was born Gavriel Gavy Friedson on December 30, 1988, in Boca Raton, Florida. At the age of 10, he moved to Israel along with his parents. He has a brother named Jonathan Friedson.
Secret Wedding with Katie Pavlich
Gavy Friedson and Katie Pavlich got married in a private wedding ceremony on July 5, 2017, along with his family and close friends.
Since the marriage, the pair has been quite open about their relationship and can be seen sharing their love life on social media platforms.
Do They Shared Any Kids?
To this date, the pair haven’t shared any kids. They have been raising a dog, Gadsden if that’s relevant.
Gavy Friedson completed his Bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies in 2014 from IDC Herzliya College, Herzliya, Israel.
Soon after the completion of his graduation, he joined Tel Aviv University to receive a Master’s in Public Health in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management.
Volunteering Since the Age of 15
In 2016, United Hatzala released a video on YouTube of Gavy Friedson speaking about his interest in the medical field.
He first worked as a volunteer at the age of fifteen at Megan David Adom in Israel. Over there, he served as a first responder for the health organization for around five years. From 2005 to 2007, he served at the Jerusalem Fire Department as a firefighter.
He has also worked as a volunteer police officer at the Israel police department for one year and seven months. For over three years, he worked for Israel Defense Forces. He was an Infantry Soldier from June 2007 to May 2009 and was later designated as a spokesperson.
Part of the United Hatzalah of Israel
In January 2008, he started working with the United Hatzalah and was there for around eight years. He served there playing several roles ranging from an EMT to first responder and International Spokesperson.
After 10 years, he was named the Deputy Director of International Operations. In February 2020, he became the Director of International Emergency Management and Global Ambassador for United Hatzalah.
Gavy Friedson has been involved in every lifesaving organization in Israel as a volunteer including the 2008 terrorist attack in downtown Jerusalem.
I am grateful to be a part of a lifesaving organization and I have done many CPRs in Jerusalem over the course of the past 15 years that I have been a volunteer.
Previously, he worked as a public speaker for the Our Soldiers Speak from Sep 2010 to Sep 2011 and a media associate for Set Public Relations from Jun 2011 to Sep 2012.
Moreover, he has taken intense training in all areas of public relations from Sunshine Sachs for around 4 months (Jul 2011 – Oct 2011).
