Debraca Denise is famous for being the adopted daughter of late actor and comedian, Redd Foxx (whose real name is John Elroy Sanford).
Born to Foxx’s second wife, Betty Jean Harris and her former partner, she was later adopted by Foxx after they started their relationship.

Married to Ralph Russell
Debraca Denise shared her vows with businessman, Ralph Russell in June 1975. They celebrated their big day in front of 450 guests in a lavish ceremony worth $40,000 in The Grand Ballroom of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
Denise wore a white chiffon gown by Holan Miller. Her maid of honor was Antoinette Woods while the best man was Deimion Schott.
The bride’s mother hosted a party for their close friends and family at their Toluca Estate home after their marriage. Denise was dating Jackie Jackson before getting into a relationship with her current husband.
Father Didn’t Attend Her Wedding
Debraca’s father didn’t attend her wedding. It was due to Redd’s and Betty’s divorce issues.
The celebrity comedian felt snubbed by his estranged wife. The gold invitation read,
Mrs. Redd Foxx requests the honor of your presence at the marriage of her daughter, Debraca Denise to Mr. Ralph Russell.
Parents Unsuccessful Relationship
Debraca’s parents shared their vows with July 5, 1956, after dating for several months. Redd and Betty first met at a nightclub where she was working as a singer.

Prior to getting married, Betty agreed to become a full-time housewife giving up her singing profession. After their marriage, she handled her partner’s five LA record stores and several other business ventures.
After 18 years of marriage, the duo parted ways. Harris had to return $110,000 after their divorce.
Her father was married thrice. They had married Evelyn Killebrew, Joi Yun Chin Chung, and Ka Ho Cho.
Lost Her Father in 1991
Sanford and Son actor, Redd Foxx died at the age of 68 on October 11, 1991, due to a heart attack. He took his last breath in Presbyterian Medical Center nearly four hours after he collapsed at Paramount Studios at Queen of Angels-Hollywood.
They were rehearsing on the set and clowning around, and Redd was sort of breaking people up when he collapsed. They all thought he was joking around at first, and then they called the paramedics.

Accused of Embezzlement
Redd Foxx left a whopping $3.6 million outstanding tax bill after his demise. In 2006, her stepmom, Ka Ho Cho accused Debraca Denise of embezzling money.

A year later, John Cahill took over the administration after Denise couldn’t reveal the revenue details from royalties and licensing deals. Within 2010, John brough in $101,000 revenue from the estate.
