Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer is famous for being the mother of the American singer and rapper, Doja Cat. Her daughter became a huge internet meme through her song, Mooo! in 2018.
Deborah gave birth to Doja Cat when she was in a relationship with the African artist, Dumisani Dlamini. She used to live in Tarzana, LA, but moved to Rye, New York, and Oak Park, California, before settling down at the Sai Anantam Ashram in Sherman Oaks. Though she is Jewish-American, she practiced Hinduism for several years.

Dlamini developed her interest in music and dropped out of high school to focus on her career. She signed a record deal with Kemosabe and RCA Records at 17 and released her debut EP, Purrr! in 2014.
In 2018, she became a viral meme for her song, Mooo!, from her debut studio album, Amala. In 2019, she released her second studio album, Hot Pink which reached the top 10 of the US Billboard 200.

Unsuccessful Relationship with Dumisani Dlamini
Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer and her husband, Dumisani Dlamini first met in the 1990s while Dlamini was on his America tour. Soon after their first meeting, they started dating. They were in a relationship for a few years only and it is still unknown whether they were married or not.
The reason for their separation was Dumisani’s homesickness. After facing homesickness, he planned to return to his hometown along with his family but things didn’t go as he planned as his partner wasn’t ready to go to South Africa. Anyhow, Dlamini left the United States and they have been apart ever since.
During their relationship, the couple welcomed two children, both daughters. While one of them is popular all over the world with over 16.7 million followers on Instagram, the other one prefers to stay away from the media limelight.

Dumisani Dlamini is an African actor who made his acting debut in 1992 from the musical drama movie Sarafina!. After several years, he worked in the TV Mini-Series, Entabeni as Zorro.
