Darby Loved Ant-Man
The 11-year-old Darby Rudd loved her father Paul Rudd’s role as Ant-Man. Paul had never thought about how his life and work would change after becoming a father to a girl.

While talking about his Ant-Man role in 2018, he revealed how he could portray the character of a father in the movie thanks to his daughter.
As far as my character doing a scene with a girl playing my daughter, it’s not far off. My daughter is a little bit younger but not much. And those kinds of scenes are accessible to me because I’ve been in them, I know what that’s like.
Paul went on to reveal that his daughter loves his movie and the character he plays though he was skeptical at first.
At first, when was very young, I used to think, is it going to be weird. When my daughter is old enough, and she sees this movie, that she’s going to see me playing dad to a little girl.
Darby had exactly the opposite reaction. She loved the movie. Well, it might also be because Paul told her daughter that she was the real Cassie.
I think she really loves it, because I tell her, you know, you’re the real Cassie. I do little things in the movie that are little things for her.
During an interview in the same year, Paul joked about him being an embarrassing dad.
My daughter is eight and thinks I’m the bee’s knees. My son is 13 and doesn’t even want me going to his school. I make jokes to a series of eye rolls.
Well, this surely shows us how close Darby and her dad are!
Parents’ Love Story
Darby Rudd’s parents, Paul Rudd and Julie Yaeger have been married for 17 years already. They have been together for even longer, 25 years to be exact.

Paul and Julie met for the first time in New York in 1995. Julie was working as a publicist at the time and Paul had just moved to New York after gaining success in the movie, Clueless. Since he was already running late for an audition, he left as soon as he got to his publicists’ office leaving his luggage under his to-be wife’s care.
She was the first person I met in New York. We started talking and there was a maturity with her – she had experienced some tragedy in her life, I had too, and the impression I got was, wow, this is a woman. This isn’t a girl. I was really taken with who she was and how she had overcome and was in the process of overcoming adversities in her life. There was a perspective that she had and still has on the world that you don’t come too easily – it’s earned and most people don’t have it at such a young age.
A few days after, Rudd asked her out on a lunch date and the rest is history. They dated for eight long years before finally tying the knot on February 23, 2003.
Elder Sibling, Jack Sullivan Rudd
As we’ve mentioned before, Paul Rudd and his wife, Julie Yaeger have two kids. While their younger child is Darby Rudd, their eldest kid is, Jack Sullivan Rudd. He was born on April 20, 2006, in New York City and is four years older than Darby. He is a fan of Manchester City and Kansas City Chiefs.

Jack, 15, and Darby, 11, appeared together with their parents at an event in 2015 when their father received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The family of four currently resides in their lavish house in New York.
