Charles Bernard Foster is the son of two-time Oscar-winning actress, Jodie Foster.
Charles was born as Jodie’s first child on June 20, 1998, via artificial insemination. He is supposedly studying at Yale University.
Birth Detail
Jodie Foster gave birth to him at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, after twelve hours of labor. Pat Kingsley, Jodie’s publicist, said the baby was born at 5:53 a.m., weighed 7 and a half pounds, and measured 20.5 inches.
Foster initially kept it quiet, but it was later revealed that she picked the sperm of a dark-haired, 6-foot, 160-IQ scientist in a Los Angeles clinic.
Who is Charles Bernard Foster’s Father?
Charles Bernard Foster’s father is the most searched query but answers to the question remain confidential.
Once there were huge rumors that Randy Stone (late Hollywood producer) was Charles’ father as he is Jodie’s ex-partner. Later on, it turned out to be nothing more than a rumor because they weren’t dating when her first child was born.
Liz Smith of the New York Post asked Jodie if her “donor” was the same man for both of her kids.
I’m not going to answer that.
Adding to the same statement, she said, she plans to raise her kids as a single mother.
Siblings
Charles Bernard Foster has a younger brother named Kit Bernard Foster, born on September 29, 2001, in a Los Angeles hospital. Currently, he studies Chemistry at Princeton University.
Charles and Kit rarely make public appearances but were seen together with their mother during the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016.
Mother’s Relationship
Charles’s mother Jodie Foster was in a relationship with the former producer, Cydney Bernard. They first met in 1993 while they were filming Sommersby. However, after 15 years, they separated in 2008.
In 2013, his mother came out as gay. She married Alexandra Hedison (actress and photographer) in April 2014 after a year of dating.
Interested in Acting
Charles Bernard Foster seems to be interested in acting. In 2018, while talking with The Guardian, his mother revealed about her son’s interest in acting.
