Celebrities Who Lost Their Lives Due To COVID-19

The list of people losing their lives due to the pandemic COVID-19 is increasing day by day. More than 53 thousand people died and over 1 million confirmed cases have been reported to this day (April 3).

Currently, the world is shaken due to this virus which started from Wuhan, China, in late December 2019 as no vaccination for it has been formed. Hence, the virus has taken the lives of many including prominent people from around the globe.

Here we have listed out some of the famous people who became the victim of Coronavirus and died.

1. Andrew Jack

Andrew Jack died at the age of 76 on March 31, 2020, after a complication caused by Coronavirus. He was tested positive for the virus just two days before his death. According to the reports, he died in a hospital just outside London.

His wife, Gabrielle Rogers was not able to stand by his side during his last moment as she is currently with her kids at her Australian home. Rogers took to her Twitter and Instagram to share about her husband’s demise!

The Dialect Coach was survived by his third wife and two kids. There isn’t any news about his funeral at the moment.

2. Mark Blum

The Desperately Seeking Susan actor Mark Blum also joined the list of celebrities who died due to COVID-19. He died at the age of 69 on March 26, 2020, at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital after complications from the virus.

Mark was tested positive just a week before his death. Following his demise, the Playwrights Horizons and SAG-AFTRA vice president, Rebecca Damon revealed the news on their Twitter.

Blum is outlived by his wife, Janet Zarish.

3. Eddie Large

Scottish comedian Eddie Large also lost his life to the COVID-19. The actor who was 78 years old was admitted to the hospital since March due to heart illness and most certainly, the virus. The news of his death was confirmed by his elder son Ryan McGinnis through his Facebook. He wrote,

We will miss him terribly and we are so proud of everything he achieved in his career with Syd and know that he was much loved by the millions that watched them every week. RIP Dad. We love you and miss you from all the family.

4. Floyd Cardoz

The Indian chef, Floyd Cardoz is also one of those who died of the pandemic COVID-19. The chef who was in his 59 lost his life on March 25, 2020, and joined the list of dead people from nCOV. The news of his passing was confirmed by Huner Inc. Hospitality. They wrote,

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing away of Chef Floyd Cardoz.

The chef was tested positive for the virus on March 18 and following this, he took to his IG to inform his fans about his condition.

Cardoz took his last breath at Mountainside Medical Center in New Jersey. He is survived by his wife, Barkha Floyd and kids, Justin and Peter Floyd.

5. Maria Teresa

Spain’s Princess Maria Teresa became the first royal to die from the Coronavirus. The news of her death was confirmed by her brother Prince Sixto Enrique.

As per Enrique’s post, she died in Paris at the age of 86 on March 26, 2020. The post read,

On this afternoon our sister Maria Teresa de Borbon Parma and Borbon Busset, a victim of the coronavirus COVID-19, died in Paris at age of eighty-six.

6. Lee Konitz

Legendary Jazz Saxophonist Lee Konitz also became the victim of the Coronavirus and lost his life on Wednesday, April 15 at the age of 92 in Manhattan.

His death was confirmed by his niece Linda Konitz stating that he died because of coronavirus and pneumonia. He is survived by his five kids, three grandkids, and a great-grandkid.

7. Allen Garfield

The popular actor of the ’70s, Allen Garfield died at the age of 80 due to the complication in CoVID-19 on April 7, in Los Angeles.

At the time of his death, he was living at the Motion Picture home located in Woodland Hills. The death news was confirmed by his sister, Lois Goorwitz.

8. Wallace Roney

The well-renowned trumpeter, Wallace Roney also died a week after suffering from the Coronavirus. He died at the age of 59.

His fiancee, Dawn Felice Jones, revealed the news of his demise. Roney was survived by his fiancee and his two kids, Barbara and Wallace Roney Jr. from his former relationship.

9. Sergio Rossi

The footwear designer, Sergio Rossi who lost his life due to nCOV on April 3. At the time of his death, he was 84 years old. He was hospitalized in Cesena, Italy just a few days before.

10. Tim Brooke-Taylor

Tim Brooke-Taylor who worked in the entertainment industry for more than 50 years lost his life on April 12, 2020, after contracting COVID-19. The news of his death was confirmed by his agent to the BBC News channel.

Fowling the news, many other stars including David Walliams, Stephen Fry, and Bill Oddie, among others, paid tribute through the social media platform.

11. Dave Greenfield

The keyboard player of The Stranglers, Dave Greenfield also lost his life after testing positive for the pandemic. He died at the age of 71 on May 3, 2020, after a complication with corona during his stay in the hospital due to a heart problem.

12. Patricia Bosworth

The American journalist, Patricia Bosworth passed away on April 2, 2020, in Manhattan due to COVID-19. Following this, her step-daughter confirmed the news stating that pneumonia brought on by the novel coronavirus took her life at the age of 86.

13. BJ Hogg

The wonderful actor BJ Hogg, who was known for his appearances as Sir Addam Mabrand in Game of Thrones, also passed away due to health complications related to the nCOV. He was 65. The news was confirmed by Express on April 30.

14. Gulshan Ewing

The legendary journalist Gulshan Ewing died due to complications with the coronavirus. She was 92. The news was flashed by her daughter, Anjali Ewing to the BBC on May 1.

15. Troy Sneed

The Grammy-nominated singer, Troy Sneed lost his battle with the Coronavirus at the age of 52. The news was confirmed by KD Bowe on April 27.

The Bronx Rapper Fredrick Thomas AKA Fred the Godson couldn’t make it out of the battle against the pandemic. He died at the age of 35 on April 23. Just 15 days earlier, he had posted on his Instagram to share that he had the virus.

The Emmy-nominated hairstylist, Charles Gregory died on April 8 after a health complication with the Coronavirus. His death was revealed by Tyler Perry through his Instagram. He also went on to deal with the rumors that black people didn’t get the COVID-19.
