Shuey was a senior at Indiana State University when she first met Sean, who joined the college as a running back and wide receivers coach in 1990. The pair met and fell in love. They dated for a couple of years before deciding to take vows in 1992.
7 years into their happy married life, on March 20, 1997, Beth and her partner welcomed their first child, a daughter, Meghan Payton. Similarly, three years later, on May 31, 2000, they welcomed their second child, this time a son, Connor Payton.
Their daughter, Meghan is now a sports reporter and is dating an actor, Christopher Titone. As for Connor, he is an NFL player at Texas Christian University.

The pair were married for almost two decades till 2012 when Sean filed for divorce on June 14. The divorce was claimed on the grounds of “conflict of personalities.” The petition indicated that they be given joint custody of their kids in addition to the court also dividing their estate.
On June 26, however, Beth counter-filed for divorce requesting to be appointed as the primary custodian of their kids, meaning, she had exclusive rights to decide about their kids’ medical, legal, and educational interests.
According to the divorce settlement, Beth got the primary custody of her two kids while her ex had to pay her huge alimony plus child support. In addition to it, her former partner also lost his 7,785 square feet home which cost $3.45 million (original price $3.195 million) in 2012.

Speaking of Beth’s current relationship status, she is currently married to her partner, Jamie McGuire. The pair tied the knot recently on September 20, 2020. Her partner is a real estate agent at Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston. She now has two stepdaughters, Maggie and Molly McGuire.
