The Italian singer, songwriter, and record producer, Andrea Bocelli, went live at the Duomo Cathedral on April 12, 2020, alongside organist Emanuele Vianelli. The classical live stream made history on YouTube by drawing in the biggest audience on a YouTube live stream.
The live stream was not longer than 25 minutes, but the views kept on rising. The video started with Andrea, who became blind at 12, talking about his acceptance and about the Christian Easter, which he believes, is a universal symbol of rebirth.
Not only did Andrea be a part of the live stream, but he’s also involved in an emergency COVID-19 campaign. The Andrea Foundation has already started a fundraiser to help hospitals in collecting enough equipment to protect their medical heroes. The campaign is available on the GoFundMe Page as well.
